Data Tools
REDCap MME Tool – The MME tool allows collection and calculation of MMEs from 29 opioids using literature-derived conversion ratios, supporting unidirectional conversion from the opioid to morphine. It reports MMEs per four accepted calculation definitions and allows inclusion/exclusion of buprenorphine. The NIH HEAL MME tool offers direct MME calculation, supports existing data combinations via API, and facilitates transparency of MME definitions used for research, allowing comparability and future adjustments in conversion rates.
Gen3 Data Commons Site – This cloud computing platform is designed to effectively manage, analyze, and facilitate the sharing of clinical and administrative data acquired through the IMPOWR and MIHRIQL Networks. Its primary focus is to untangle intricate factors contributing to chronic pain and opioid use trajectories. Its objective is to accelerate the advancement of therapies, diagnostic assessments, and technologies within these domains, ultimately leading to medical understanding and more comprehensive solutions.
RUCA Site – Rural- Urban Commuting Area Code (RUCA) codes are used to classify U.S. census tracts using measures of population, density, urbanization, and daily commuting. This site allows the investigator to enter the zip codes of interest to obtain the RUCA code for the area of interest.
DMPTool Template – The DMS Template is tailored to blend diverse existing data types with the aim of accelerating advancements in the field of pain and addiction care. The template sections include types of data, standards for data, preserving, accessing, and timelines for data and considering access, distribution, or reuse. Investigators are directed to the NIH HEAL Initiative® Public Access and Data Sharing Policy for official guidance, which summarizes the initiative principles and includes embedded source links.
